Angel Locsin, rumampa nang naka-Darna sa Japan!

Wala pang 24 hours sa Tokyo si Angel dahil dumating siya ng Sabado ng gabi at umalis kaagad kinabukasan, pagkatapos ng Philippine Independence Day Celebration.

Darna ang tawag kay Angel ng mga Filipino na humingi ng kanyang autograph at nagpakuha ng litrato na kasama siya.

Suot ni Angel ang kanyang Darna costume nang umakyat siya sa stage.

First time ni Angel sa Japan pero hindi siya nakapamasyal dahil limitado ang kanyang oras. Kinansela ang shooting ni Angel para sa pelikula ng Regal Entertainment Inc. (I Will Always Love You) para ma-accommodate ang imbitasyon ng Access TV.

Alam ko malinis ang konsensiya ng mommy ni Oyo Boy, Angel by Noel Asinas

HINDI nababahala si Angel Locsin sa mommy ng kanyang boyfriend na si Oyo Boy Sotto na si Dina Bonnevie na ngayoy nahaharap sa kasong estafa.

"Alam ko naman na malinis ang konsensiya ng mommy ni Oyo Boy," pahayag ni Angel nang nakausap namin sa pictorial ng I Will Always Love You sa Regal office.

"Kapag namimeet ko ang mommy ni Oyo Boy ay masaya naman siya. Gayundin si Oyo Boy na hindi pinapansin ang balitang ito sa kanyang mama.

"Normal pa rin ang takbo ng buhay nilang maganak. Samasama rin silang nagsisimba tuwing araw ng Linggo."

Kay Angel, wala na siyang itinatago sa press hinggil sa relasyon nila ni Oyo Boy.

"Pinanalangin ko naman sa Itaas ang lahat bago ko tinanggap si OyoBoy sa buhay ko.May senyales akong nakita kaya ko siya tinanggap.

"Sa palagay ko masaya rin si Miko, kung saan man siya naroon ngayon, alam ko natutuwa rin siya sa aking naging desisyon. Kasi, masayahin tao siya. Ayaw niyang nalulungkot ako."

Ang mommy ni Miko na si Ali Sotto ay paminsan minsang dumadalaw sa set ng Darna.

"Natutuwa ako sa sweetness sa akin ni Tita Ali. Siya pa ang dumadalaw sa akin. Alam niyang sobrang akong busy ako."

Buti lately, binigyan na si Angel ng two days rest sa Darna. Natanggap na niya ang pelikulang I Will Always Love You. Nakapagsushooting siya ng dalawang araw isang linggo.

"Buti naman may day off ako dahil nakapagsisimba ako. May time din ako sa sarili ko at siyempre sa love life."

Bale si Oyo Boy ang pangatlong boyfriend ni Angel. Pangalawang tagashowbiz. Unay si Miko, samantalang ang unay isang non-showbiz guy.

Sa totoo lang, hindi pa seryoso si Angel sa pag-ibig. Mas ang attensiyon niyay sa kanyang career. Halos araw araw ay may trabaho siya. Naisisingit din niya ang kanyang love life.

"Inspiration din naman iyon sa araw araw kapag busy. Biro mo habang nangangarag ka sa trabaho, biglang magti-text o tatawag sa iyo. Eh, nakaaalis ng tensiyon.

"Ako pa ang taong ayaw ng walang ginagawa. Happy ako sa trabaho ko at sa love life ko ngayon."

Si Richard Gutierrez ang unang ka love team niya na nag hit sa TV via Mulawin at sa first box office movie na Say That You Love Me ng GMA Films. Unang tambalan nilay ang Sigaw na kumita rin sa Metro Manila Film Festival 2004.

Hindi rin maipaliwanag ni Cogie Domingo kung bakit pareho sila ng taste sa babae ni Oyo Boy Sotto. Matagal na raw niyang iniisip kung bakit iisa ang tipo nila sa babaing gustong maging girlfriend.

Matatandaang nagkaenkuwentro sila ni Oyo a few years back dahil kay Anne Curtis at si Oyo ang ginusto ni Anne. Naulit ‘yun kay Angel Locsin na binalak ding ligawan ni Cogie pero, si Oyo pa rin ang nagwagi.

Kay Alessandra de Rossi lang nagkaiba sina Cogie at Oyo dahil kahit magandat sexy ang actress, hindi siya natipuhan ni Cogie. Sobrang kulit at maingay daw si Alex at kung magiging sila, baka siya (si Cogie) ang lumabas na babae.

Si Nadine, nakaMU ni Oyo, magustuhan din kaya niya ang leading lady sa Ganti? ang Season 2 ng Now and Forever?

"Hindi ko masabi pero, nagagandahan ako sa kanya. Saka, noong nasa StarStruck pa siya, isa siya sa mga tinitingnan ko. Tapos ngayon, magkasama na kami. Marami akong iniexpect na magandang mangyayari working with her," pahayag ni Cogie.

Congratulations sa loveteam nina Mark Herras at Jennylyn Mercado dahil malakas sa takilya ang pelikula nilang Say That You Love Me na nagbukas na kahapon sa mga sinehan.

3:00 PM pa lang ay mahigit P100,000 na ang kinita nito sa isang SM theater kaya tantiya ng marami ay humigit-kumulang sa P10M ang hamigin nito sa first day of showing.

Napatunayan ng GMA 7 na meron na naman itong pinasikat na love team pagkatapos ng kina Richard Gutierrez at Angel Locsin.

Pagkatapos ng kina Mark at Jennylyn, isusunod ang Happily Ever After nina Rainier Castillo at Yasmien Kurdi.

Nakita na namin ang ilang eksena ng pelikula na dinirek ni Maryo J. delos Reyes, at mukhang wagi rin ito dahil iba ang genre na mala-Shake Rattle and Roll ang dating. Congratulations na rin sa Regal Films at GMA 7!

Sa bagong season ng Now & Forever ay kasali rin si Cogie Domingo. Kahit matagal nang walang project si Cogie sa GMA 7 ay hindi niya naiisip na lumipat ng bakuran.

Sa preskon kahapon ay nakita namin si Cogie na nagpapayat.

Bago siya magsimula sa Now & Forever ay nag-guest siya sa Darna. Alam namin na ikinatuwa ito ni Cogie dahil matagal na niyang crush si Angel Locsin.

Hindi na niya pinursigi si Angel dahil alam niya na mayroon nang nagmamay-ari ng puso nito.

Sinisisi namin siya dahil ang bagal niyang manligaw. Naunahan tuloy siya ni Oyoboy Sotto.

Angel Locsin never thought of herself as sexy. This simple 20year old is a dress down, jeans and shirt kinda gal who is still a kid at heart. Since she is not a sexy star nor does she try to be sexy, she was simply shocked and surprised when she first heard about the news.



From being last years number six hottest babe to being at the top of the list this year, Angels sexy factor has gone way up. It is as high as the heights that she can soar in her hit show, Darna. Angel shyly admits that she has never worn a two piece bathing suit or the like, prior to her donning the sensuous heroine suit. “This is one of the most difficult things I have to do for Darna, to step into the skimpy outfit and be ogled at by everyone.” she further states. To add to that, she had to actually do stunts and be harnessed while wearing the red hot ensemble.



It is important to reiterate that this Angel is not even trying to seduce anyone. She does not really have a strict diet that she complies with nor does she go to the gym to work out. Because she looked glamorous as always it seemed ironic when Angel Locsin claimed that she only wanted to have a "simple wedding." Angel noted, "Basta gusto ko simple lang, mostly attended by my closest friends and relatives." She wants to keep the guest list conservative in order to preserve an intimate feel for her wedding. Guests will surely be in for a treat as Angel vows, "a big chunk of the budget goes to the food for the reception; gusto ko, pampered [ang] guests ko."

The simple wedding for this high flying GMA star will be set on a beach "most probably Boracay," as Angel fancies. With reggae music playing in the background, the beach wedding promises to have a tropical yet romantic mood. Angel wants Bamboo, Rivermaya, or other members of those bands to be her wedding singers, because, "Basta, I want it [the wedding] to be cool and to make people feel young." When asked about whose celebrity wedding she wants hers to be like, she said, "I want to have yung parang kay Ate Mirriam [Quiambao]; nasa beach din, tapos hindi masyadong engrande simple lang, but all the people who mattered most to her were with her nung araw na iyon."

The beach will also be the place for her honeymoon. "But, if we have the money, I want it sana outside the country, somewhere in Europe like Rome or Paris para mas romantic." Angel also thinks that the honeymoon should be the ultimate retreat for the couple, "kasi iyon yung time niyo talaga together as husband and wife." Angel Locsin wants to get married when she is between 22 to 25 years old. Why so young? She wants a bond with her child, one that she describes thus: "na parang barkada lang. Iyong parang kay Danica [Sotto] and kay Tita Dina.

They look very close and very cool together. I want to be more than a mom to my child gusto ko, best friend din niya ako." But this wish might not be feasible right now. "Marami kasing may ayaw dun sa age range na iyon; ayaw ni Daddy and most [of the] people around me. But its okay I know theyre just looking out for me." So does she have any man in mind? To that she responded with a sweet smile.

Having seen her fly as Alwina in Mulawin, fans and spectators alike await her next big step. Muling makakaharap ni Darna (Angel Locsin) si Valentina (Alessandra de Rossi) sa isang sagupaang kikitil sa buhay ng isang lalaking malapit kay Darna.

Mas higit nang mapanganib si Valentina ngayong alam na niyang may alter ego si Darna at isa lamang itong ordinaryong tao.

Palapit na nang palapit si Valentina sa pagtukoy na ang kinamumuhian niyang pinsan at ang Darna na gusto niyang puksain ay iisa.

Angel not yet ready to admit affair with Oyo Boy

ITS not surprising Angel Locsin is besieged

by intrigues, most especially now that it is evident GMA 7 is taking good care of her and treats her as a prime artist.

Angel ought to take good care of her image since she's playing Darna, the classic Pinay superhero created by Mars Ravelo, in the newest fantaserye of GMA 7 that is changing the landscape of Philippine TV. With her as Darna, Angel is the banner star of the network at the moment, so GMA is keeping Angel's image clean and above reproach.

Of course, it can't be helped that people will talk about Angel and her rumored romance with Oyo Boy Sotto, the cousin of Miko Sotto who died a couple of years ago. Miko was Angel's boyfriend when she was just starting her career. People say, from one cousin to another.

Angel talked with Alessandra de Rossi (the ex-girlfriend of Oyo Boy) who's playing Valentina in Darna. They had an exchange of views regarding the matter and Angel had been enlightened. But whatever it was that Angel and Alex talked about, Angel would like to keep to herself. Suffice it to say she and Alex already had an understanding on the matter.

Whenever Angel is asked about the real score regarding her and Oyo Boy, she's very honest in saying that she doesn't know how she is going to address the issue. She says she doesn't want to speak about something that she's not sure of. Angel believes this is not yet the time for her to talk about the issue regarding Oyo Boy and the real status of her relationship with him. She feels this is not yet the time for her to speak up or even think about the issues involving her and Oyo Boy. That time will come, but not right now.

There might be a semblance of truth to what people perceive, that Angel and Oyo Boy are indeed an item. But of course, Angel is unsure as to what this situation would bring to her. This is already a matter that concerns the heart and feelings.

Angel admits she's close to Oyo Boy and his family. While Miko had been gone for more than a year, she admits it's not easy to forget what happened. Whenever she thinks about it, she feels a pain in her chest. She wants to maintain the respect she has for Oyo Boy and if ever she would be quizzed, there are some questions she feels would be really hard to answer so as not to cause pain to anyone.

She's wary of people's reaction on the situation involving her and Oyo Boy, plus the fact that Miko was Oyo's cousin. She maintained she just couldn't say anything or speak up.

But the proper time will come for Angel to talk and bare her feelings out in a manner that people would understand her.

For now, Angel is soaring high as Darna.

Naaliw si Angel Locsin sa mga nanalo sa pa-promo ng Axe deodorant dahil ang partner niya ay ang probinsyanong si Janssen Glen, 20 years old na taga-Tacloban City.

Pangako raw ni Janssen na kapag nanalo siya ay bibili siya ng i-pod at latest model ng Ericsson cellphone.

Kaya naman sa ginanap na shopping spree ng mga nanalo sa Glorietta at Greenbelt last Thursday, dalawang bagay ang binili ng partner ni Angel at ang natirang pera sa napanalunang kalahating milyon ay itatabi para sa pag-aaral at magtatayo ng internet cafe.

"Nakakatuwa kasi, hindi niya inubos yung prize money niya, dapat kasi uubusin yun for shopping spree. Lahat ng winners, mga bata pa at mga estudyante," say ng kampo ni Angel.

Tanda namin na pina-pull out ng concerned citizens ang naturang TV ad dahil malaswa raw plus the fact na wholesome ang image ni Angel because of her Darna show.

Pero hindi naman nagtagumpay ang mga nanira dahil natapos nang maayos ang promo at nagpapasalamat ng malaki ang mga taga-Axe dahil nag-number one sila sa buong Asia dahil sa promong ’yun.

Hindi kasi type ng mga tagahanga ni Angel na idini-display niya si Oyoboy Sotto. Sabi pa ng mga tagahanga ng dalaga, kung type pa raw ni Angel na suportahan nila ang career nito ay dapat tigil-tigilan ni Angel ang pagsasama kay Oyoboy sa mga showbiz party na dinadaluhan niya.

Approval from above Angel Locsin and Oyo Boy Sotto were spotted at 6 Underground. But the lovey-dovey couple are no longer keeping their romance underground. They watched the gig of Mongols and Rivermaya there. Oyo's sister Danica was also around for her boyfriend, Mark, drummer of Rivermaya.

Seems that "Darna's" ex (the late Mico Sotto) is giving her a dose of his "supernatural powers" from up above to make her end up with his cousin for keeps. Love moves in mysterious ways, indeed!

I dont know sa iba..pero if angel is really happy everytime she is with oyo..its fine.. no big deal sakin un. Bsta happy sya. At hndi sya nasasaktan. Thats what i want to say. Angel-Maxene rift because of Oyo?

MOTHER Lily Monteverde believes so much in Francis Magalona's daughter, Maxene, who has starred in several Regal movies like "Kuya," "Beautiful Life" and now, "Happily Ever After" where she's paired with John Prats. "Maganda ang batang 'yan kahit walang makeup and she also acts very well," says the Regal matriarch.

Maxene is also seen regularly in two hit TV shows, the Sunday sitcom "Daddy Di Do Du" where she plays Vic Sottos daughter and the daily afternoon soap, "Saang Sulok ng Langit" which is now on its second season.

But, is it true Angel Locsin is getting jealous as she is paired with Oyoboy Sotto in "Saang Sulok"? "No. Angel is one of my closest friends in showbiz and she knows trabaho lang yung sa amin ni Oyo."

Isa si Uncle Mars (Ravelo) sa hinahangaan namin noong nagsisimula pa lang kaming magsulat sa pelikula.

Isang feature writer kami sa Free Press at Manila Times nang kinumbinse niya kaming magsulat sa kanyang mga komiks at tungkol sa pelikula tulad ng Filipino Komiks at Superstar at mga magasin katulad ng Sixteen at Teenage Songs and Shows.

Simpleng tao. "Unschooled," ayon mismo sa kanya. Mula sa pamilya ng mga mangingisda ng Cavite. Pero highly imaginative at intelligent. A pioneer sa komiks nobela. Tingnan ninyo ang mga nobela at karakter niya: Dyesebel, Darna, Bondying, Captain Barbell, Lastikman, Maruja, Valentina at Rita Rits. Very Pinoy.

MAC Alejandre is the busiest director today. After the phenomenal hit, "Let the Love Begin," his next film this year, "Say That You Love Me" with Mark Herras and Jennylyn Mercado, is opening on June 1 and predicted to be another blockbuster. In the script written by RJ Nuevas, he and Rica are neighbors born on the same day when the planets are all aligned. Kapag ganoon daw, one would be the 'Hari ng Sablay' na laging mamalasin and the other one, laging susuwertihin. So, they grew up na si Bearwin is a man of good intentions, but everything he does ends in disaster. Si Rica naman, may Midas touch and everything she does succeeds. Bearwin is in love with Nadine and Rica is in love with Jay-R. The problem is Nadine and Jay-R are in love with each other. This is the other hilarious conflict in the story."

THERE IS no doubt now that Angel Locsin is the sexiest Darna ever. She is numero uno in the FHM Magazine poll of the country's 100 sexiest women. And to think her pictorials in the said men's mag are very coy and conservative compared to the very revealing ones done by other more daring actresses. It's really flattering kasi hindi naman ako classified as a sexy actress, says Angel. The first time they included me in the poll, number 10 lang ako. Then naging number 6, and now, number one na.

What do people find sexy in her? "Honestly, I don't know po. Kasi, if you'd ask me personally, I don't find myself sexy. Sa akin, when I dress up or move, wala lang. It's just my normal self. Sabi naman nila, the more nagpipilit kang mag-project na sexy, the more na hindi ka nagiging sexy sa mata ng iba."

Shes happy that "Darna" is consistent in being a toprater. People now even use her Darna shout as their ringtone in their cellphones. "Dahil dito, mas pinagaganda namin ang show. Halos araw-araw na nga kami nagte-taping to make each episode faster in pacing." Sunshine Cruz is said to be so fond of her now that she's in the second month of her pregnancy with her and Cesar Montano's third baby. How does she feel about this? "Nakakatuwa. The most that we can squeeze out of this possible love connection is that they look really good flying together over the metro, with Efren in Darnas arms.
